Richardson Wildflower Festival 2015

This 22 year old music festival, we’re ashamed to say, escaped our radar for way too long! Held in the spring each year, this festival put on by the city of Richardson boasts some fantastic music, fantastic community, and just wonderful support from the city. Of course were we there answering people’s questions about replacement windows, and inviting them to see the process live at our Dallas manufacturing plant, but once our office staff saw the music lineup (Pat Benatar? Kansas?) their interest was piqued!

Then again, we started our window business 22 years ago too (Fall 1992) so maybe that was just a really good time for new businesses/ideas!

To the Wildflower Festival’s credit, with the possibility of hail and tornadoes, continuing what has been an amazingly wet two months for Dallas county, the event organizers went well out of their way to make sure precautions were taken, and that the staff and vendors knew exactly what to do if the weather turned bad. Which, thankfully, it didn’t. Some darkened skies and cloudy weather was the worst the Wildflower Festival saw during during the show’s hours. Of course, it saw -plenty- of rain both before and after its hours of operations, but lets just be thankful for small favors.

I’m sure they’ll have more data about 2016 on their website, www.wildflowerfestival.com, but top to bottom we heartily recommend this festival, and the great staff of city officials and volunteers that put it on!

P.S. Yes that’s a Grumpy Cat stuffed animal in that vehicle, and yes we thought it was adorable.
